Could you use a change of scenery when it comes to your study spot? You’re in luck, because the city offers a variety of coffee shops where you can get some work done and try out a new brew. Here are six options to add to your to-visit list:
Prevail Union. Located near the posh Westside Provisions District (about a mile from Tech), Prevail sells its own craft roasts, with options for espresso, pour over, and batch brews. Signature and seasonal drink offerings include the Fig Latte, the HVR (honey, vanilla, and raspberry latte), and the Campfire Cappuccino. Prevail operates out of the bottom floor of the Star Metals Atlanta building, and features spacious indoor and outdoor seating, and a free parking deck.
Chrome Yellow Trading Company. This spot can be found in historic Old Fourth Ward near spots like Fetch Park and the BeltLine. If you need to get some studying done, Chrome Yellow offers indoor seating that opens to the outdoors on a sunny day. The shop also sells teas, cold brews, and baked goods, as well as its own whole bean coffee.
Bellwood Coffee. Bellwood Coffee in the East Atlanta Village has partnered with the Victorian Atlanta to sell plants, planters, and soil alongside its beverages. Bellwood serves its own roasts, and you can enjoy your coffee surrounded by the greenery of the plant shop. You can also find a Bellwood location in the lobby of 1776 Peachtree (an office space in Midtown) and a future location on the Westside (currently under construction).
Café Comma. This Instagrammable coffee shop in Vinings sells one-of-a-kind coffee flavors, such as charcoal coconut and caramel crème, alongside signature creams that include pistachio, cinnamon, and taro. To complete the experience, try one of Café Comma’s gourmet toasts, which are served until 2:30 p.m.
Cold Brew Bar. This spot's 14-tap cold brew bar offers a flavor for everyone, which can be complemented with your choice of milk. The Cold Brew Bar also serves smoothies, milkshakes, frappes, and hot coffees. Hungry? Order from the menu, which includes overnight oats, toasts and sandwiches, bowls, and salads.
Rev Coffee. This café and roastery is located in Smyrna. But the atmosphere and variety of coffee, tea, and matcha options make it well worth the drive. Come to Rev for one of the live music and arts events that the coffee shop hosts. And on the last Friday of every month, stop by for Rev’s Free Coffee Fridays where you can get a 16 oz. drip brew on the house.
